Although it is not a full course, we still recommend these videos as they adequatly teach such skills and could greatly reduce faculty time.
This resource is a YouTube playlist with surgical skills videos. The videos are hosted on YouTube and therefore easy to access and use. There are 11 videos, and each video is about 4-5 minutes in duration. The techniques are useful for medical students to know before they begin their surgical clerkship, and the material is at medical school level.
Topics include suture techniques, subcuticular suturing, deep dermal suture, vertical mattress suturing, SSA surgical knot tying tutorial, scrubbing, gowning and gloving, closed cuff gloving techniques, and lumbar epidural placement in a child.
FACULTY TIME REQUIREMENTS
