This free resource covers a random collection of topics, and cannot replace a full anatomy lecture or lab. The videos are less than ten minutes long, and the topics are explained well. This resource also provides video quizzes which could be helpful for student review. The YouTube channel is disorganized and hard to navigate. A student would have to know what to search for before using.

FULL DESCRIPTION

The Human Anatomy Education YouTube Channel provides various videos on human anatomy. The videos are disorganized and hard to navigate. The channel covers a random collection of topics, and cannot replace a full anatomy lecture or lab. The videos are not comprehensive. However, the videos are clearly narrated and may be used as supplemental review material in a specific area.

The audio is missing on a few videos, and it is unclear how often maintenance is done on previous videos.

FACULTY TIME REQUIREMENTS

These videos would not require additional faculty time, but they would also not save any time or effort. These might be used by individual students for supplemental explanations on topics and/or dissections.  The quizzes are nicely done and students could use them as review material. They are at the level of detail necessary for a medical school anatomy course.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

The videos are available on the Human Anatomy Education YouTube channel. You can stream the videos only. The option to download is not available.
