The 6 Second ECG
Course: Internal Medicine - EKG
Ownership: SkillSTAT Learning Canada
This website offers a free ECG simulator with great examples of atypical EKGs. It has practice questions with detailed explanations, and has pdfs that can be downloaded from their Managing Cardiovascular Emergencies Handbook. The resources are easy to use and clear.
There is not much information on heart anatomy and pathophysiology; additional details could enhance this resource. It is targeted at US medicine. While this resource cannot be used as a primary resource, it could be used to supplement learning.
FACULTY TIME REQUIREMENTS
This is a quiz on EKG rhythms that plays like a game. Many of the rhythms are too advanced for a medical student and the explanations are inadequate. This might be useful for residents or Mmed candidates in fields where interpreting EKG rhythms is important. This would not save any faculty time
